Medicine Adherence Support & LTC

MASS and MURS

Maybe you have lots of medications to take at different times of the day and night, and spend too much time just organising them for each day.
We know it's so easy to miss out or make mistakes! So much so that medicine-related issues are the biggest cause of hospitalisation behind accidents!
So, if you have:
  • a lot of medicines to take, often at different times in the day or week; or
  • difficulty remembering to take your medicines; or
  • one or more health complaints or Long term Conditions (LTCs)
then we can provide you with special services to help.

A Medicines Use Review Service (MURS) is available to you if you are on such complex medicine regimens or have difficulty managing your medications.
Our pharmacists are MUR accredited and are charged with giving you the tools, information and understanding to enable you to take your medicines as prescribed by your doctor.
The aim of MUR is to improve community health while reducing hospital admissions, especially due to medicine-related issues.
After a consultation, we prepare a report about what has been discussed and give one copy to you and the other to your doctor. We also make suggestions that will help you manage your medicines better. Note that we never change your medications without your doctor's full support.
One option is to package your medications in sachets or blister packs.

LTC or Long Term Condition

We specialise in supporting Long Term Conditions (LTCs). If you or your child will be taking medications for a long period of time, often the rest of life, then come and talk to us.
Too often it can be a struggle to keep to the medication regime, missing out or making mistakes, with the result that less benefit comes from all your efforts and medications.
Contact us for a confidential chat to help you organise, or make the most of, your medications.
There are lots of ways we can help, for example possibly with some funding support. Just ask.
Your privacy is assured.
